How you can help

Volunteer opportunities

Breast Cancer Foundation NZ could not carry out the work it does across the country without its amazing volunteers.

We’re a small but passionate team based in Auckland with a huge job to do. Our mission is to push for new frontiers in early detection, treatment and support. Our volunteers often tell us that they have been touched by breast cancer in some way, whether it’s personally or because they have helped a friend or loved one fight the disease. This is what motivates them, and us, to get involved.

Volunteering offers a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and support a worthy cause while having fun and making a difference with volunteering opportunities all year round.

We appreciate your interest in volunteering for BCFNZ.

Pink Star Walk in your city

We couldn’t hold The Pink Star Walk without the enthusiastic support of volunteers so if walking isn’t for you why not volunteer instead? There are a number of ways you can volunteer before the event by helping in our Auckland office, putting together walker packs in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch or spreading the word by putting up posters and flyers in your local area. We also need volunteers on the night to help with registration, marshalling and of course a cheer squad. Tell us how you’d like to help when you volunteer for the Pink Star Walk.

Street Appeal – volunteer & area coordinators

Become an Area Coordinator for the Pink Ribbon Street Appeal 2019
As an area coordinator you will oversee multiple Street Appeal sites in your area on the appeal days, manage a small team of volunteers, receive and distribute stock to volunteers, trouble shoot on the day if any issues arise and bank the donated funds. We provide everything that is required to run the area including a detailed brief beforehand, registered volunteers and their contact details, stock, banking materials and site permits. This appeal would not be possible without the help of our fabulous area coordinators.

Give 2 hours to The Pink Ribbon Street Appeal 2019
We need general collectors in your area in October 2019. Join around 10,000 other volunteers when we hit the streets for two days every October. Get your friends, family and colleagues together and Give Hope, Give Life. The 2019 Pink Ribbon Street Appeal is on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of October.
